LCG has developed several tools that have automated processing, scanning and other document-based activities that were previously handled manually, resulting in increased reliability, cost efficiencies and time savings. While LCG is commonly called upon to build systems that match the business process, our goal is to ensure that the new system reduces cost and time; increases efficiency; and provides records management, real-time visibility and an enhanced user experience. We’ve matched the teleworking business process for the National Institute of Health (NIH) to an automated system called Telework Online. When the government experiences unscheduled outages or leave, a process is in place to designate tiers for each individual. What was once a manual process that included tracking, updating and acquiring signatures is now automated to provide better records management and review processes.
